High Torque Starter for TR3A. Also for the TR4/4A with bolt-on ring gear and for Rover P6 2000 and 2200 models. Direct replacement for original unit when fitted with the BOLT ON RING GEAR. Fitted with captive stud to aid fitting. Strong, powerful, offset gear-reduced starter motor, delivering huge cranking torque through a set of steel internal gears. Lightweight, compact and durable this unit starts the engine faster with immense power, whilst drawing less current from the battery.
Spigot diameter 3.5″ (88.5mm), bolt spacing 5″ (127mm), gear diameter 39.4mm.

Just a high short note for Assembly; These engines-with fixed bolt in the upper hole-you can only mount if you use either the plastic gearbox tunnel completly removed either in this tunnel hole (ca 4 cm diameter with bv around saw) just below the screw-hole of the overdrive cable into the re side (under the floor coverings). The latter I have so done and then mounting “appelte-egg”;-). Weather cover plastic layer (piece of old white Jerry can) and mounting kit. Ready
Passing is otherwise fine and saves without noises in the coronary!

A breath of fresh air this starter motor. The old one was already 57 years old and really worn out. The advice was excellent and he start now like a charm.
